A little bit about our goals.

At Foundation Learning Academy, our goals revolve around establishing a foundation of well-being that empowers each pupil to surpass their own expectations both within and beyond the classroom. We are dedicated to delivering a diverse, rigorous, balanced, and exhilarating curriculum, complemented by a comprehensive co-curricular program designed to ignite learning and engagement for all.

Our commitment extends to providing lessons and learning experiences that not only challenge assumptions but also cultivate creativity and foster independence among our students. Moreover, we strive to create an environment where continuous improvement and growth

SCHOOL POLICY AND RULES
  • Learners must work hard to achieve their full potential.
  • Homework must be done regularly and neatly.
  • Learners as well as parents must adhere to the rules and regulations of the school.
  • No interruption during class time is allowed unless a parent/guardian called or notified the school through a phone call or letter.
  • Learners must treat teachers and co-learners with respect in and outside the classroom.
LEARNERS GENERAL APPEARANCE
  • Learners must be neat and presentable at all time by wearing a tie & blazer.
  • No makeup is allowed
  • Boys are not allowed to wear rings, arm bands, necklaces or any other jewellery.
  • School shoes must always be worn with the school uniform. No takkies unless if a letter is accompanied by a letter from a parent/ guardian stating the reason why the learner does not have school shoes or unless it’s a Wednesday (Sports Day).
  • Boys hair must be cut neatly & short. No mowhawks allowed.
  • Girls hair must also be neat at all times.
LEARNERS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO:
  • Bring cellphones to school.
  • Bring toys or weapons to school.
  • Bring drugs or alcohol on school property.
  • Sell anything at school, unless there is an organized market day at school.
  • Bully other learners as this will not be tolerated by the school.
LANGUAGE USE
  • English is our medium use of language.

  • Sort, neat hair is compulsory ( chiskop, brush cut or fade hairstyle)

GIRLS UNIFORM

  • Grey Skirt/trousers.
  • Long hair should be tied up.
  • Hair bands, ribbons and elastics must be grey, blue or yellow.

BOYS & GIRLS JEWELRY

  • Boy’s are not allowed to wear any jewelry. only a watch is acceptable.
  • Girls are allowed only small gold or silver earrings or studs – only one per ear.
